LA transplants 2 AM Club are sure to have increased their fan base opening for TV/TV at Highline Ballroom in NYC last Friday night.
Their mix of hip/hop, funk, soul, and rock, is synthesized into an awesomely good dance your ass off popping, rock beat. This paired with their sexy lyrics shows their playful side while creating a sound that is quite unparalleled.
Watching them play you could feel the energy radiating off the stage. The flow of emcee Tyler Cordy perfectly compliments the soulful harmonies of singer Marc Griffin.
The band was signed to RCA Records in September 2008 and they have relocated to NYC to work on their debut album with veteran producers Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (Boys Like Girls, Katy Perry, Gym Class Heroes). With what they sound like live, I’m sure their album is going a hit.
The band is playing “AKoustic Mondays” at East Village bar Angels & Kings tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m., is 21+ and $5 dollars at the door.
