Chances are if you who have watched TV lately you’ve heard up-and-coming band Capra, you just might not know it yet. Low Day, the first single from the Los Angeles-based rock band known for their sunny pop sensibilities, is featured in a worldwide ad campaign for travel site Expedia.com, which can seen here.
Capra, composed of actor/vocalist Kelly Blatz, guitarist Shelby Archer, drummer Michael Johnson, and brothers Paul and Jeff Laliberte on bass and guitar, says that Low Day was inspired by a hazy car ride through a California summer day and a moment of exultation. The bands overall sound is reminiscent of this as well, and it is compared to modern groups like The Strokes and Phoenix but with a classic 60s vibe.
”Low Day” is available now on , and look for a debut album soon. In the meantime, visit their official Myspace page for more information, as well as news and updates from the band.
