The Dig's 'Electric Toys' Streaming This Week and In Stores Now

The Dig’s full-length debut album, Electric Toys, arrives in stores today. The album can be streamed in its entirety all week via a Listening Party on AOL Music’s Spinner blog. A Daytrotter session from the band is also now online and can be downloaded here.

Later this week, The Dig will head out on a nationwide tour in support of Thrice, Kevin Devine, and Bad Veins. The tour will take them from Station 4 in St. Paul, MN, on June 11th and wrap up at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV, on July 18th, including a hometown stop at Irving Plaza in New York, NY, on June 24th. The band will also headline Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, CA, on July 19th. In the past eight months, the band has toured with The Walkmen, White Rabbits, Editors, The Antlers, Portugal. The Man, Here We Go Magic, Port O’Brien, and The Joy Formidable.

Electric Toys was recorded with co-producer Bryce Goggin (who has produced, mixed, or engineered artists including Pavement, Antony & the Johnsons, The Ramones, Bishop Allen) in Brooklyn late last summer. Album tracks “You’re Already Gone” and “Two Sisters In Love” can be downloaded here and here, respectively, while a live video of “Sick Sad Morning” can be seen here.
