11th Annual Light of Day Concert Tickets on Sale

The Light of Day concert series is now in its 11th year. What began as a single concert at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey has grown into 23 shows in thirteen countries in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

The upcoming Asbury Park shows have been selected by the City Council and the Chamber of Commerce to serve as the inaugural event celebrating what has been designated as Musical Heritage Year 2011 by the Smithsonian Institute. The Smithsonian has chosen Asbury Park as the first city to host the Smithsonian’s traveling Musical Heritage Exhibit in March 2011.

Austin singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo will headline the Paramount Theatre show, the main event at the 11th annual Light of Day concerts in Asbury Park, which will feature 75 artists playing at nine different venues in the city on Jan. 13, 14, 15 and 16.

Tickets for the four day event kicking off on January 14th, 2011 are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com.

The funds raised are donated to help the fight against Parkinson’s disease and related illnesses by funding research into better treatments, cures and support for patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease and related illnesses.

The 2010/11 concert series will kick off in Niagara Falls, Canada on November 12 and run through the weekend of January 14th to 16th, 2011 with our flagship shows in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
